Job Description

As a Propane Delivery Driver you are a key point of contact for our customers. We are looking for dedicated and responsible people that can excel in a fast paced work environment and possess exceptional people skills.

This position requires an individual to safely drive a propane delivery vehicle to customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Team-Work.

Job Requirements

  • Safety is Job Responsibility #1. We expect our drivers to be alert and conscientious when driving their truck in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Customer Service is Job Responsibility #2. We expect our drivers to be friendly and courteous at all times when delivering gas and dealing with our customers.
  • Responsible for achieving delivery objectives set forth by the local Router.
  • Operate company vehicle in a safe, efficient and courteous manner.
  • Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance to company policy and DOT regs.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a HazMat endorsement and Tanker Endorsement.
  • A clean driving record. Please provide an MVR report and a personal CSA report with application.
  • LP3S license a plus! (State of NM requirement).
  • Ability to pass pre-employment DOT physical, drug test and Homeland Security Background Check.
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.

Job Description

Sierra Propane seeks a Service Technician with experience in installation and maintenance of customer propane storage systems and appliances.

This position requires an individual to safely perform their duties at customer locations. This position also requires someone with a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward Safety, Sales, Customer Service and Employee Team-Work.

Job Requirements

  • Safety is Job Responsibility #1. We expect our employees to be alert and conscientious when driving their truck in a safe and courteous manner.
  • Customer Service is Job Responsibility #2. We expect our employees to be friendly and courteous at all times when maintaining or installing a system and dealing with our customers.
  • Install propane tanks and gas service lines at commercial and residential locations.
  • Pressure test gas lines to make sure system passes all state & local requirements.
  • Inspect vehicle daily and report any problems in accordance with company policy and DOT regulations.
  • Must obtain a CDL license within 60 days with an ‘X’ endorsement.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively to convey information to new and existing customers.
  • Propane appliance installation and diagnostic experience, licensing, and accreditation strongly desired.
  • LP05 and LP06 license a plus! (State of NM requirement).
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from plant manager.

Job Description

In this position, you will utilize previous sales experience to grow our business by prospecting potential customers who call in for pricing or come to the office to fill bottles.

Industry related training will be provided, however the ideal candidate must be a self-starter and be highly motivated toward pursuing new sales opportunities on a daily basis.

  • Filling, re-qualifying propane cylinders.
  • Champion a positive and professional image of Sierra Propane.
  • Collecting payments, answering phones, balancing, filing, credit card processing.
  • Setting up accounts.
  • Assist with customer issue resolution including credit and collection calls.
  • Follow-up with new customers to ensure satisfaction with job completion and service performance.
  • Exceptional verbal communication skills including the ability to negotiate and convincingly persuade others.
  • Good interpersonal skills and willingness to take direction from office manager.
